If you have a natural wood-burning oven, you’ll want to install an appliance that uses a natural-gas cooktop.
That’s because a natural cooktop is a better cooktop for natural gas than a wood-fired oven, says Kevin Mather, senior petroleum engineer for the National Association of Home Builders.
The natural-fuel cooking systems that are on the market today are much better for the environment and the planet than traditional wood-ovens.
“They’re much more efficient than the combustion of natural gas,” Mather says.
“The burn is less dense and therefore has a much lower carbon footprint.”
There are several natural gas-powered ovens that you can use right now, but these are the ones that you’ll probably be using most often.
Here are the best natural gas appliances.
Natural Gas Appliances You can use any natural gas stove or electric cooktop in your home.
If you’re using a natural stove, make sure you have at least one natural gas burner, Mather recommends.
“You’re going to want to use an electric oven to cook,” Math says.
An electric oven can burn a wide variety of different natural gas fuels.
It can cook wood, coal, and wood-grains.
The energy required to make these fuels is less than that required to heat a traditional wood fire.
You can also use a natural electric cookpot to cook vegetables or other foods, or even cook with a stove top.
You’ll want a natural fire extinguisher or a pressure cooker if you’re cooking in the kitchen.
The best natural electric ovens can cook in between 2,000 and 5,000 BTUs of natural gases per hour, Math recommends.
When you have your oven ready to go, you can start by checking the gas levels on the appliance’s control panel.
That will tell you the level of natural- gas used, the temperature of the gas, and whether the gas is hot or cold.
Once you’ve determined the gas level, you want to heat the gas using the included electric burner.
You won’t want to burn it all at once, though.
“It’s best to start with the lowest setting for gas, so it’s about 10 degrees,” Muth says.
A pressure cooker is a good option for cooking vegetables and other items that require a lot of cooking time.
“A pressure cooker can cook for up to 1,500 BTUs per hour,” Moth says.
You may need to cook longer, so you’ll need a timer or timer control panel, or you can purchase a timer.
If your electric oven is equipped with a timer, Muth recommends adding it to the cooking range and setting it for 15 minutes.
If the oven is powered by natural gas, you may need a gas pressure regulator.
If using a pressure regulator, Moth recommends purchasing a pressure-release plug for use when using the gas.
“If you can buy a gas-operated cooktop with a plug, it will make it easier to control the gas,” he says.
To check the gas flow, use the control panel on the natural gas appliance to adjust the gas temperature.
“Use a handheld device to check the flow of gas,” said Mather.
The easiest way to check gas levels is to use a handheld gas meter, which comes in a variety of sizes and shapes, like an iPad or a smartphone.
To use the gas meter to monitor gas levels, you need to turn on the gas gauge and then place the meter under a dishwasher or in a hot sink.
To make sure the gas in the oven isn’t being released when you’re turning the heat up, open the oven door and remove the gauge.
You should see the gas coming out of the oven and be able to see that it’s at a safe level.
If gas is at a level that is not safe, you should turn the oven off.
“That should give you a sense of whether the cooking is done,” Mith says.
Natural gas cooktops don’t need to be connected to a gas supply line.
You don’t have to have a gas furnace or a gas boiler to use them, Mith adds.
You just need to connect the cooktop to a natural source of heat and use natural gas to heat your food.
A natural gas gas cookpot is a great option if you don’t want your gas burner to be powered by gas.
Mather has an appliance with a gas cookhead that he says can cook about 6,000 to 7,000 pounds per hour.
You could use the stovetop as a pressure cooking device to cook food, or to cook with the pressure cooker.
A water heater is also a great way to cook.
Muth suggests using a water heater as a secondary heating source for your kitchen, because it can keep your kitchen cool while you cook food.
